Climate research is one of the most under funded fields of study. If we want to get ahead of climate change, scientists need the best tools they can get before it's too late. As part of Intel’s Tech for Good campaign, we partnered with scientists around the world and gave them an industrial grade drone, the Intel Falcon 8+, to reimagine how they conduct their research. With this heavy duty drone, they were able to collect data faster, more effectively, and from a safe distance.

To make this 360 Drone video I hacked a DJI Mavic drone, by removing the stock camera and then installing two 180 Yi cameras onto the top and bottom of the drone. I powered the cameras with a small phone battery which worked well for 10-15 minute flights.
